You can recognise an encrypted connection by the character string „https://“ and the padlock symbol in your browser bar.
2) Data collection when visiting our website
When our website is used for information purposes only, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the data that your browser transmits to our server (so-called "server log files"). When you call up our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display the website to you:
- Our website visited
- Date and time of access

- Source/referrer from which you reached the page
- Browser used

The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data is not passed on or used in any other way; this does not include processing by our hosting service provider (see section 6). However, we reserve the right to check the server log files subsequently should there be concrete indications of unlawful use.
3) Cookies
In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your end device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted again after the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your end device and enable us or our partner companies (third-party cookies) to recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). If cookies are set, they collect and process certain user information such as browser and location data as well as IP address values to an individual extent. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie.
In some cases, cookies serve to simplify the ordering process by saving settings (e.g. remembering the content of a virtual shopping cart for a later visit to the website). If personal data is also processed by individual cookies implemented by us, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR either for the performance of the contract or in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly and effective design of the page visit.
We use technically necessary cookies on the basis of § 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act); the associated processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. We only use non-essential cookies and comparable technologies (e.g. for analysis and advertising purposes) if you have given your consent via our cookie banner (§ 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw or adjust your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings in our shop.
We may work with advertising partners who help us to make our website more interesting for you. For this purpose – only with your consent – cookies from partner companies are also stored on your end device when you visit our website (third-party cookies). If we cooperate with the aforementioned advertising partners, you will be informed individually and separately about the use of such cookies and the scope of the information collected in each case in the following paragraphs.
Please note that you can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually whether to accept them, or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. Each browser differs in the way it manages cookie settings. This is described in the help menu of each browser, which explains how you can change your cookie settings. 4) Contacting us
When you contact us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail), personal data is collected. Which data is collected in the case of a contact form can be seen from the respective contact form. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your request or for establishing contact and the associated technical administration. The legal basis for processing the data is our legitimate interest in responding to your request in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If your contact is aimed at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Your data will be deleted after your request has been fully processed; this is the case when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified, and provided that there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.
5) Data processing when opening a customer account and for contract processing
In accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, personal data will continue to be collected and processed if you provide it to us for the performance of a contract or when opening a customer account. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. You can delete your customer account at any time by sending a message to the above-mentioned address of the controller. We store and use the data you provide for the purpose of processing the contract. After complete processing of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked with regard to tax and commercial retention periods and deleted after these periods have expired, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we have reserved the right to use the data further as permitted by law, about which we inform you accordingly below.
6) Hosting and shop system
Our online shop is operated on the e-commerce platform Shopify. The provider is Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland ("Shopify"). Shopify provides the technical infrastructure for the shop (hosting) and in doing so processes the data generated when visiting the shop and placing orders (e.g. server log files, customer, order and contact data).
The processing is carried out to provide the shop and to process contracts in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR and on the basis of our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of our online shop in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
In this context, personal data may be transferred to Shopify Inc. in Canada and to service providers in the USA. For Canada, there is an adequacy decision of the EU Commission. Transfers to the USA are safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Further information can be found in Shopify's privacy policy: https://www.shopify.com/de/legal/datenschutz
7) Payment service providers
Depending on the payment method selected, we pass on the data required for payment processing (e.g. name, address, e-mail address, invoice amount, order number) to the respective payment service provider. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of contract). We use the following payment service providers:
- Shopify Payments (credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay): The provider is Shopify International Limited (for the address, see section 6). Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, D02 H210, Ireland. Shopify's privacy policy: https://www.shopify.com/de/legal/datenschutz

- Apple Pay: When paying with Apple Pay, payment data is additionally processed by Apple Distribution International Ltd., Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland. Apple's privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/de/legal/privacy/
- Google Pay: When paying with Google Pay, payment data is additionally processed by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

- Klarna: Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden. If you choose a Klarna payment method (e.g. invoice or instalment purchase, where offered at checkout), we transmit the data required for payment processing to Klarna. In order to decide on the payment method, Klarna may carry out an identity and credit check and may involve credit agencies in doing so; the legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. Klarna's privacy policy: https://www.klarna.com/de/datenschutz/
The data protection provisions of the respective payment service provider additionally apply to the data processing carried out by that provider.
8) Use of your data for direct marketing
8.1 Subscribing to our e-mail newsletter
If you subscribe to our e-mail newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your e-mail address. Providing any further data is voluntary and is used to be able to address you personally. We use the so-called double opt-in procedure for sending the newsletter. This means that we will only send you an e-mail newsletter once you have expressly confirmed to us that you consent to receiving newsletters. We will then send you a confirmation e-mail asking you to confirm that you wish to receive newsletters in future by clicking on a corresponding link.
By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to the use of your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. When you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your IP address as registered by your Internet service provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of subscription in order to be able to trace any possible misuse of your e-mail address at a later date. The data collected by us when you subscribe to the newsletter is used exclusively for the purpose of promotional communication by way of the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided for this purpose in the newsletter or by sending a corresponding message to the controller named at the beginning. After unsubscribing, your e-mail address will be deleted from our newsletter distribution list without undue delay, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use the data in a way that goes beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this statement.
8.2 Newsletter dispatch via CleverReach
Our e-mail newsletters are sent via the technical service provider CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede ("CleverReach"), to whom we pass on the data you provided when subscribing to the newsletter. This disclosure takes place in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and serves our legitimate interest in using an effective, secure and user-friendly newsletter system. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving the newsletter (e.g. e-mail address) is stored on CleverReach servers in Germany or Ireland.
CleverReach uses this information to send and statistically evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. For the evaluation, the e-mails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files stored on our website. This makes it possible to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked. With the help of so-called conversion tracking, it can also be analysed whether a predefined action (e.g. purchase of a product on our website) has taken place after clicking on the link in the newsletter. Technical information is also recorded (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system). The data is collected exclusively in pseudonymised form and is not linked to your other personal data; direct personal identification is excluded. This data is used exclusively for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.
If you wish to object to the data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with CleverReach in which we oblige CleverReach to protect our customers' data and not to pass it on to third parties.
Further information on CleverReach's data analysis can be found here: https://www.cleverreach.com/de/funktionen/reporting-und-tracking/. CleverReach's privacy policy can be viewed here: https://www.cleverreach.com/de/datenschutz/.
8.3 Advertising by post
On the basis of our legitimate interest in personalised direct marketing, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, your postal address and – insofar as we have received this additional information from you within the scope of the contractual relationship – your title, academic degree, year of birth and your professional, industry or business designation in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and to use them for sending you interesting offers and information about our products by post.
You can object to the storage and use of your data for this purpose at any time by sending a corresponding message to the controller.
8.4 Google Analytics 4
If you have given your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analysis service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). It is integrated via the Shopify app "Google & YouTube". Google Analytics uses cookies and comparable technologies with which the use of our online shop can be analysed (e.g. pages viewed, time spent, interactions, device and browser information, approximate location). Google processes this information on our behalf in order to evaluate the use of our shop and to compile reports. Pseudonymous user profiles may be created in the process.
Data is only collected after you have given your consent via the cookie settings (cookie banner). The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings in our shop.
According to Google, IP addresses are not logged or stored in Google Analytics 4. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; for transfers to certified companies in the USA there is an adequacy decision of the EU Commission dated 10.07.2023 (Art. 45 GDPR). Further information: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/. The data is stored in accordance with the retention periods set in Google Analytics and then deleted. Further information on the use of data by Google can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
8.5 Google Ads conversion tracking
If you have given your consent, we use the conversion tracking of Google Ads, a service of Google Ireland Limited (for the address, see section 8.4). This is also integrated via the Shopify app "Google & YouTube". If you reach our shop via a Google ad, a cookie or comparable identifier is used. This enables Google and us to recognise that an ad was clicked and that a certain action (e.g. a purchase) was subsequently carried out. The purpose is to measure the advertising success of our ads. In this context, we receive aggregated statistical evaluations from Google.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings in our shop. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; this takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (see section 8.4). Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and in the settings for the display of advertisements by Google (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).
8.6 Google Ads Customer Match
If you have consented to receive advertising from us (e.g. when subscribing to our newsletter, at checkout or in your customer account), we transmit your contact details (email address and, where applicable, phone number, name and address) in encrypted, hashed form to Google Ireland Limited (address see section 8.4) via the Shopify app "Google & YouTube". Google matches this data with existing Google accounts. If there is a match, we can show you relevant advertising in Google services (e.g. Google Search, YouTube, Gmail) or exclude you from certain advertising. Google deletes data that cannot be matched to a Google account after the matching process.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, e.g. via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by email to hallo@profi-clean.eu. We will then remove your data from the customer lists. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Further information: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/6334160
9) Rights of the data subject
9.1 The applicable data protection law grants you comprehensive data subject rights (rights of access and intervention) vis-à-vis the controller with regard to the processing of your personal data, about which we inform you below:
- Right of access pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR: In particular, you have the right to obtain information about your personal data processed by us, the purposes of processing, the categories of personal data processed, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period or the criteria for determining the storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, complaint to a supervisory authority, the origin of your data if it was not collected from you by us, the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, where applicable, meaningful information about the logic involved and the scope and intended effects of such processing for you, as well as your right to be informed about the safeguards pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR when your data is transferred to third countries;
- Right to rectification pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR: You have the right to have inaccurate data concerning you rectified without undue delay and/or to have incomplete data stored by us completed;
- Right to erasure pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR: You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data if the conditions of Art. 17 (1) GDPR are met. However, this right does not apply in particular if the processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;
- Right to restriction of processing pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR: You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data while the accuracy of your data contested by you is being verified, if you oppose the erasure of your data due to unlawful data processing and request the restriction of processing of your data instead, if you need your data for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims after we no longer need this data once the purpose has been achieved, or if you have lodged an objection on grounds relating to your particular situation, as long as it has not yet been determined whether our legitimate grounds prevail;
- Right to notification pursuant to Art. 19 GDPR: If you have asserted the right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing against the controller, the controller is obliged to communicate this rectification or erasure of data or restriction of processing to all recipients to whom the personal data concerning you has been disclosed, unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort. You have the right to be informed about these recipients;
- Right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR: You have the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request its transmission to another controller, insofar as this is technically feasible;
- Right to withdraw consent pursuant to Art. 7 (3) GDPR: You have the right to withdraw consent once given to the processing of data at any time with effect for the future. In the event of withdrawal, we will delete the data concerned without undue delay, unless further processing can be based on a legal basis for processing without consent. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of the consent before its withdrawal;
- Right to lodge a complaint pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR: If you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes the GDPR, you have – without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy – the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
9.2 RIGHT TO OBJECT
If we process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 (1) GDPR). We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
If your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to processing for this purpose; this also applies to profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing (Art. 21 (2) GDPR). If you object, your data will no longer be processed for direct marketing purposes.
You can send your objection informally to the controller's contact details given above, e.g. by e-mail to hallo@profi-clean.eu.
10) Duration of storage of personal data
The duration of the storage of personal data is determined by the respective statutory retention period (e.g. retention periods under commercial and tax law). After expiry of the period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, provided that it is no longer required for the performance or initiation of a contract and/or there is no continuing legitimate interest on our part in further storage.
